asking questions in the classroomDo Christians who also oppose gays, do you also oppose women asking questions or teaching in the classroom?

Paul the Apostle wrote the book of Timothy, which is one of three letters in New Testament.

1. Timothy 2:11-12
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Why haven't the religious right tried to make a Constitutional Amendment banning women the right to speak or teach during class or call women sinners every time they do not learn in silence?
Why does the religious right not understand that a good deal of the bible's rules stem from cultural, not divine sources?
Don't give them any ideas. Some of them seriously advocate stoning adulteresses.
according to 99% of the world we do that and much much more...won't you help our crusade
I'd better go tape my mouth shut then.
No, I am not against women teaching or asking questioasking questions in the classroomns in the class room. I am against anything that God is against. God made is laws for a reason. We cannot figure it out. We should not even try.
unfortunately, this probably won't change their minds. they tend to ignore logic and reason. very good point, though.
Because Paul was talking about in matters pertaining to worship. HELLO!!!! Gay is detestable and God destroyed 2 cities because of that disgusting, vile and loathsome practice. ADAM AND EVE NOT ADAM AND STEVE!!!!
Because that's step 4 in the overplan.

1. Gays
2. Divorce
3. Interracial
4. Women
5. Slavery

In order of least resistance. Gays are a small minority, Divorce is bad per the bible, interacial is icky, women are outnumbered, and by that point minorities are way outnumbered and depend on their women for support.
Hmm. Maybe the christian women should be forceasking questions in the classroomd to wear burqas too. And gay christians would have to wear pink polyester burqas, regardless of sex.
From my understanding, the person who is gay is not what is opposed, it is their homosexual acts.
Women are not to usurp the authority of a Pastor/Elder by speaking up and disturbing a service/class. Of course if questions/comments are taken, women can speak. Women can teach children's/women's classes from what I understand.
My sister-in-law is a Democrat and a Christian, her faith comes before her politics.
Also, sins are sins, big or small.
Any honest person is against homosexuality:
The Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually.
