last year i had an anxiety problem and was prescribed zoloft for treatment, although it worked, i dont like what the medicine could do. i dont want to be dependent on pills for relief. so my question is, how can i control over active anxiety (not everyday anxiety) without medication? right now i am seeing my doctor about getting off my prescription zoloft.

Deep breathing (as cheesy as it sounds) works moderately well. Just focus on your breath and slow it down.
Acupuncture is amazing.
