I have an iPhone and used to have several iPod nanos. To get songs for my nano I used to use the free version of Limewire but it messed my computer up so much that it doesn't even turn on anymore! :(
Does any one know of any free way I can download songs?
Won't go into detail (because I got banned from free songs for ipod nanosyahoo answers from this before XD) search torrents on google. A program called uTorrent (dont use Bittorrent, the official one is FBI monitored) and a site called thepiratebay.org for torrents.
if limewire won't work, then the best bet is to use torrents.
www.utorrent.com go there and download it, thenfree songs for ipod nanos search for the music you want after you sign up. there's always going to be risk when you download illegally though.
you're probably better off just buying the songs from itunes for 99 cents.
Frostwire
Its much faster and I haven't had any problems with it.
