I downloaded limewire once but when i try to search songs, it says that it is still connecting to the network so there are no results of the search. How will i download limewire for free without that message? And how will i prevent viruses that i might download?
You can get the Limewire Basic (free version) from . The connection problem might be due to the fact your firewall is blocking Limewire or something. Use an anti-virus to prevent the viruses that you download. If you have one, then keep it updated and make sure that it is active in the background (the anti-virus icon will shdownload free limewireow up in the System Tray). Else, you can grab the free Home Edition of Avast, which is a very solid anti-virus.
you have to let it connect all the way....look on the bottom left of the lime wire screen and youll see bars(kind of like on a cell phone)that go from small to large....if theyre red youre not connected if theyre green you should be able to do your search....and to keep from getting viruses you may only want to dl the files that have that little golden "masterlock"(like you would put on your school locker)
WOW call and IT guy.... limewire is fine just go to menu adownload free limewirend CONNECT then try again when that fails get a viruisus scan and then remove limewire and redo install...... OR call fo help LOL
Like the other guys said, just go to the site and download the free version, install, go to "start, control panel, security center, windows firewall, exceptions" when that opens look for "limewire" on the "programs and services" window, make sure that the box next to limewire is checked, then start lime wire, go to "file, connect" wait till the signal strenght is green.
